Studio Policies for Online Lessons
Online lessons are weekly for 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes. Your monthly tuition will be calculated depending on the date in which you join the studio. Tuition payments will be made through our Paypal Account and will be automated for the 1st of the month. A link will be sent for you to create an account and automate payments.
Books, Instrument, & Other Materials
Required books will be emailed to the parent for the parent to purchase online or in store.
Please have the following for online lessons
Acoustic or digital weighted piano keys
A device to stream online lessons: desktop computer, laptop or tablet.
High speed internet
Download calling software, ie. ZOOM
Stool or Table Stand
Binder + 3-ring hole puncher

Payments will be made on the first of each month through my automatic billing software. Setup after registration is complete.

Studio Policies for All Lessons
There are no lessons on New Year’s Day-January 1st, Dr. Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Lessons are available during summer months but not required
Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons per each spring and fall semester. Due to the teachers limited availability, make-up lessons cannot be guaranteed. Tuition and enrollment fees are non-refundable and makeup lessons are not scheduled. Please plan lesson times and social engagements accordingly. The teacher does not guarantee makeup lessons for missed lessons.
If the teacher becomes ill I will let the parent/student know and try to reschedule the lesson. If the lesson cannot be rescheduled the lesson amount will be deducted from the following month’s invoice.
Financial Contract and Attendance Agreement
By signing up for lessons, you acknowledge your financial responsibilities to the (Sweet Melody Music Studio) You are acknowledging that you have read, understand and agree to our studio policies and absence/makeup policies. Commitment is for an entire school year or from the time the student is enrolled until the following May. All monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month and will incur a late fee of $20 if not received by the 5th of the month. If tuition is not received 5 days after the due date, lessons will be terminated and the spot will be filled with another student. All past-due accounts will receive a courtesy email and phone call before lesson termination occurs. To withdraw from lessons please give a 30-day notification of withdrawal. Should something arise where you cannot financially fulfill your commitment to your child’s music lessons, we appreciate and encourage advance notice and open ongoing communication with our office.
Lessons are given weekly during assigned lesson time with the exception to school breaks. All students who miss a lesson because of an emergency situation will be invited to send a video of their songs and the teacher will send video feedback before the end of the week. No refunds or discounts are given for students who miss a lesson. Please see studio policies for more details.
We reserve the right to discontinue lessons for any reason.
Tuition will be prorated up to the last lesson taken and a refund will be provided, if applicable. The reasons for discontinuation may be for the following reasons:
Excessive requests for scheduling changes.
Lack of progress due to insufficient practice.
Uncooperative attitude or general dislike of lessons.
