Some Testimonials From Our Students
When presented with a piano for the first time your mind tends to wander. Whether it be from the different sounds it can produce or the numerous keys. I can't speak for everyone but for me, I was simply lost. I have friends who'd play Mozart with their eyes closed while I'm still trying to understand the difference between middle C and basement C. That changed when my lessons with Ms. Butler began. while you may feel ashamed from being walked through your scales like an infant, the amount of growth that stems from those starting steps are phenomenal. You'd start to develop this toolbox from which you could use different aspects of different lessons to create something that is truly breathtaking. However, these skills won't come out of nowhere. You need to dedicate yourself. You need to make time to practice. You need to want to improve. There will be days where you feel like you'll never get better, where you'll feel like giving up. But if you keep pushing and keep striving for greatness then you will come out as a better musician and while you're doing this, you will always have Ms. Phyllis Butler cheering you on every step of the way.

It is difficult during the pandemic to distance learn piano because it is hard to learn by distance, it is not the same as when I am with Mrs. Phillis in the same room physically, but I am trying and I will continue practicing on my own to keep up and I appreciate Miss Phillis going out of her way to still help and make me understand music from her teaching, and it is easy to learn from her because she is easy to understand and we'll experienced with teaching others.
